CORCORAN, TOM

Mr. Corcoran is a senior advisor to the Carlyle Group, one of the world's largest private equity firms, and is president of Corcoran Enterprises, LLC, a private management-consulting firm. Prior to these positions, he served as president and CEO of Gemini Air Cargo, a Carlyle company, and president and CEO of Allegheny Teledyne Inc. He also served as president and COO of Lockheed Martin's Electronic Systems Sector and Space & Strategic Missiles Sectors, and president of the Electronics Group of Martin Marietta. He held various positions within General Electric and GE Aerospace, including company officer.
Mr. Corcoran currently serves on the boards of L-3 Communications, the American Ireland Fund, REMEC, Inc., Proxy Aviation Systems Inc., Aircraft Management Technologies (Dublin, Ireland), LaBarge, Inc., UK-based Serco, Ltd., and ARINC, Inc., a Carlyle company). He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Stevens Institute of Technology and is a Trustee Emeritus at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and is a graduate of the GE Manufacturing Management Program. He also holds a Ph.D. with Honors from the Stevens Institute of Technology.
